Andrew Haigh Profile

Andrew Haigh
Since my stroke in Jan 2015 and the neurological disorder that followed, I am now severely disabled, but always try to make each day a little brighter and take each day as it comes.

Since 2015, it was time for a new chapter and a change of pace and I may not walk properly and my left side might defy reason or logic, plus let’s not forget the seizures.

Have been given the wonderful opportunity and privilege to help at Parliament, in particular the House of Lords. I do this in a voluntary capacity and go there when I am well enough. Views on the website are my own.

When able, I help with the family charity. The Haigh Foundation is a registered charity in England and Wales (no.1192767), provides grants and support where we know we can make a difference.

I currently provide information, policy advice and accurate political intelligence for select members of the House of Lords (OSINT, HUMINT, CYBINT).

Help provide information for reports, parliamentary bills and help at meetings and closed briefings.

I provide social media relationship management, including updating websites. Essentially, I just like helping in any way when I can.

Also experienced in corporate governance, especially good with charities and foundations, data protection, GDPR and safeguarding and help advise organisations when I am able..

Thrilled to be accepted as a ParliAble Committee Member since 2020 and looking forward to helping others at Parliament.

ParliAble is a Workplace Equality Network (WEN) to support disabled members and Peers, their staff, staff of both Houses, and others who work on the Parliamentary Estate.

ParliAble is open to both those who consider themselves to have a disability and those who have an interest in supporting disabled people.
